Can Plants Come Indoors?

November 5, 2024 // By Shawnee Thomas

Yes, you can bring certain plants indoors for the winter to protect them from colder temperatures. Plants to bring inside can include:

•  Tropical plants like hibiscus and ferns

•  Herbs such as basil and rosemary

•  Tender perennials like geraniums and begonias

•  Succulents such as aloe vera and jade plants

•  Houseplants that were outdoors in summer like peace lilies and spider plants

Bringing these types of plants inside will help them survive winter and keep them healthy until spring.
